Capitals commit to 2004 born forward Greye Rampton for 2022/23 season

The Cowichan Capitals are excited to announce the commitment of 2004 born forward Greye Rampton for the 2022/23 season. Rampton, a left shot forward out of Chilliwack played the 2021/22 season with the Yale Hockey Academy in the CSSHL. In 35 games he recorded 20 goals and 13 assists for 33 points, 5th most on the team, but was one of just two players to reach the 20 goal plateau on the U18 Prep team at Yale.

“Greye is a great skating centre and playmaker. A talented, crafty player and sees the ice well. Greye competes and plays a 200 ft. game. He has good habits and is Junior A ready. We are excited to have Greye join the Capitals for the 2022-23 season” said Capitals Head Coach and General Manager Brian Passmore.

In the COVID Shortened 2020/21 season Rampton played in just 5 games on the U17 team at Yale but managed to record 3 goals and 6 points in that time. His last previous full season was in 2019/20 where on the Elite 15’s team he recorded 14 points in 34 games.

Welcome to Cowichan Greye!
