School Visits
The Cowichan Capitals are proud to be active members of the communities we represent. Through our School Visit Program, Capitals players and staff visit local schools to connect with students, share experiences, and inspire the next generation both on and off the ice.
As student-athletes themselves, Capitals players understand the importance of hard work, teamwork, resilience, and balancing responsibilities. School visits provide an opportunity for students to learn from positive role models while building meaningful connections within their community.
What We Can Offer
- Classroom visits from Capitals players and staff
- Reading programs and literacy initiatives
- School assemblies and motivational presentations
- Discussions about teamwork, leadership, and goal setting
- Promoting healthy lifestyles and physical activity
- Question-and-answer sessions with Capitals players
Building Stronger Communities
Our players are more than athletes — they are students, teammates, mentors, and role models. School visits allow them to give back to the community while encouraging young people to dream big, work hard, and support one another.
Whether it’s reading to an elementary classroom, speaking at a school assembly, or participating in a special event, the Capitals are committed to making a positive impact throughout the Cowichan Valley.
Inspiring the Next Generation
School visits are one of the many ways the Capitals strive to be leaders both on the ice and within our community.
Request a School Visit
School visits are scheduled around the team’s practice, travel, and game schedule. We welcome opportunities to connect with schools throughout the Cowichan Valley and will do our best to accommodate requests whenever possible.
