The Capitals are excited to announce the commitment of 2003 born forward Luke Haymes for the 2021-2022 season. Haymes, a 17 year old out of Ottawa, Ontario has been with the Ridley College Tigers for the past two years, although they have not played a 2020/21 season. He stands at 6’1″ and weighs 176 lbs and will bring the Caps some size and skill in the middle of the ice.
“We are thrilled to commit Luke Haymes for the 2021-22 season. Luke plays a feisty and aggressive style of game. He is an extremely hard working, responsible two way player. Luke adds speed to our lineup off the rush, out of the corner, driving the net and creating turnovers. We see a responsible player that plays the game the right way” said Capitals Head Coach and General Manager Brian Passmore.
In his last season, 2019-2020 Haymes finished above a point per game, scoring 12 goals and adding 19 assists for 31 points in 29 games.
