Logan Camp commits to Ontario Tech University for 2023/24

The Cowichan Capitals are excited to announce that 20 year old forward Logan Camp has committed to Ontario Tech University for next season after graduating from junior hockey. Camp is in his first season in the BCHL, having spent the last 4 seasons playing in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League split between the Cape Breton Eagles (106 GP) and Baie-Comeau Drakkar (30 GP). So far this season Camp has 5 goals and 11 points in 32 games played with Cowichan.

“I am very excited to continue my hockey career at Ontario Tech, while also furthering my academics at such an amazing university. It’s always been a goal to continue playing hockey and get an education and I’m thrilled to be doing both at Ontario Tech. I’m looking forward to being a Ridgeback!” said Camp.

Ontario Tech’s mens hockey program plays in the Canadian University USPORTS league in the Ontario University Athletics East Conference, this year they sit 3rd in the conference with a 13-9-3 record to this point. There are two former BCHL’ers on the Ridgebacks 2022/23 roster, both alumni from Nanaimo in Baxter Anderson and Alek Sukunda.

With Camp now securing a commitment for next season, he joins William Elias (Holy Cross), Luke Lavery (Providence), Ethan Dekay (Michigan Tech) and Quinn Disher (Michigan Tech) as players committed to college and university hockey programs.

Congratulations Logan!
