Game 4 Preview: Caps visit PR to take on undefeated Kings

In their quickest turnaround of the season the Capitals quickly had to regroup and jump on the bus this morning after last night’s 4-2 win over Chilliwack and make their way to the river city, facing off with the other 3-0 team in their division, Powell River. Cowichan sits at 3-0 after a 4-2 victory over the Chiefs, nearly doubling them in shots at 36-20. Brady Lynn got the scoring started early on a 2 on 1, firing a shot over the blocker of Chilliwack goaltender Kolby Thornton under 5 minutes in. Will Arquiett scored a pair of late 2nd period goals, including one on a 5 on 3 power play, and Lynn netted his 2nd of the night on the power play early in the 3rd in the win. It was a quiet but solid night for Zach Borgiel stopping 18/20 for his 3rd win of the season.

Powell River also enters off a home win over Chilliwack, hosting the Chiefs on Friday night. Chilliwack actually led the game 2-1 before Powell River scored 4 in the final half of the 2nd period and 3 in 4 minutes on route to a 5-2 win. Levi Glasman and Nic Porchetta each scored twice in the win, while Matteo Paler-Chow stopped 23/25 in the win. Glasman (3-2-5), Ethan Schmunk (3-2-5) and Christian Buono (0-5-5)  are all tied for the team lead with 5 points. Glasman and Buono have picked up where they left off from last year when they played with 20 year old sniper Ryan Brushett, as Glasman finished 2nd on the team with 63 points in 58 games.

Sunday’s game starts at 2:00PM from Hap Parker Arena in Powell River, you can follow the action by watching on Hockey TV pay-per-view, or listen in on 89.7 Juice FM on your radio dial starting at 1:45.
