Game 4 Recap: Penalties cost Capitals in road loss to Kings

Cowichan was well within reach into the 3rd period of the game, but a parade to the penalty box handed the Kings 3 power play goals in the game and a pair in the 3rd period alone in a 7-2 defeat in Powell River Sunday. Cowichan trailed 2-1 through one and 4-2 through two with the Capitals goals coming from Olivier Gauthier and Cole Broadhurst in the game. The Kings would score four straight to end the hockey game with the three in the 3rd, and one late in the 2nd. Levi Glasman scored twice, as did Ben Wozney for the Kings while, Michael Abgrall, Hunter McCoy and Nic Porchetta added singles. Ben Howard made his first start of the season and allowed 7 goals on 39 shots, while Cowichan could only muster 18 towards Matteo Paler-Chow in the Powell River goal, stopping 16 of them. Powell River went 3/7 on the man advantage while the Capitals failed to score on their only power play chance. More bad news came in the way of a 5 minute major penalty for checking to the head was given to Will Arquiett, who got his stick up in the face of a Powell River defender late in the game. Tanner Sidaway still has one more game to serve after he was assessed a 4 game suspension for his major penalty on opening night.
