NEWS: CAPITALS BRADY LYNN COMMITS TO ONTARIO TECH UNIVERSITY

The Cowichan Capitals are excited to announce that graduated Capitals 20 year old forward Brady Lynn has committed to Ontario Tech University to play USPORTS hockey for the 2020/2021 season. OTU formerly known as UOIT is part of the Ontario University Athletics conference East Division. Lynn spent the past season and a half with the Capitals where he totalled 29 goals and 32 points for 61 points in 89 games including a career best 39 points in the 2019/2020 season. Lynn played 4 seasons in the BCHL between Cowichan and Nanaimo, finishing his career with 96 points in 187 career regular season games. While with the Capitals Lynn was a huge playoff performer, recording 13 points, 7 of them goals in 17 post season games with Cowichan.

“Brady was an honest hard working kid that we relied on a lot last year in all types of situations. Whether it was on the PP, PK or even strength Brady wanted to be the best on the ice. I’m really happy for Brady, he was one our 20’s that definitely deserved to get a shot somewhere. I think he will thrive as a Ridgeback” said Capitals Assistant Coach Dan Whiteford.

With his commitment, Lynn is the 12th player on the Capitals 2019/2020 roster to commit to a post-secondary school in Canada or the United States and it adds to an already record setting season of now 187 BCHL players with college or university commitments.

Congratulations Brady!
