TRADE: Capitals send Brooks to Warriors to complete deadline day deal

The Cowichan Capitals have traded 2001 born forward Zach Brooks to the West Kelowna Warriors, completing a January 10th trade deadline day deal in which the Capitals acquired 2000 born defenceman Austin Chorney for 2000 D Max Dumas and future considerations.

This season with the Capitals, Brooks scored 12 goals and finished with 27 points in 57 games, while adding a goal and two assists in 5 playoff games. Chorney meanwhile finished the season with 4 goals and 9 points in 54 regular season games, 39 of which came with West Kelowna. In a Capitals sweater, Chorney had a goal and an assist in 15 regular season games, and scored twice in Cowichan’s 5 game first round series against Powell River.

The Capitals would like to thank Zach for his time and effort with the Capitals and wish him the best of luck in West Kelowna.
