NCAA COMMITMENT: DAN MCINTYRE COMMITS TO CORNELL UNIVERSITY!

The Cowichan Capitals are excited to announce that forward Dan McIntyre has committed to Cornell University’s NCAA Division 1 hockey program, to join the team after aging out of junior hockey. McIntyre is 19 years old and has scored 5 goals and 9 points in just 10 games this year, after netting 5 goals in all of last season and finishing up with 13 points in 54 games. The Capitals acquired McIntyre from the Kanata Lasers of the Central Canadian Hockey League prior to the 2018/19 season, where he had amassed 6 goals and 7 assists for 13 points in 61 games between two seasons.

Cornell University plays in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), and McIntyre will likely run into some former teammates down the road, as Clarkson (Jordan Robert), and St. Lawrence (Will Arquiett) also play in that conference. Last year Cornell tied Quinnipiac for first in the conference with a 13-5-4 in conference record and finished at 21-11-4.

Congratulations Dan!
