Capitals This Week

As we near the end of the regular season and the results of each game becoming more & more critical, it’s safe to say this Wednesday will be the biggest game of the year (so far). Wednesday night the Capitals will welcome back the Coquitlam Express for a rematch of our super bowl Sunday matinee.

The Capitals & the Express are in a dog fight for the 8th & final playoff spot in the Coastal Conference. The Caps currently sit in the 8th place position with a 4 point lead on the Express. However, Coquitlam has played 4 less games thus far, giving them a couple games in hand. To state the obvious, this is a must win game for both clubs with major implications on the playoff race.

Coquitlam will be coming into Duncan looking to avenge a 4-0 loss to the Capitals this past Sunday. Mccoy Bidewell turned aside 35 shots for the shutout, while goals from Seeley (AP), Wilson, Walters & Jacobs helped pace the Capitals to victory. Captain Brett Fudger will return to the lineup after finishing his 2 game suspension.

A reminder to our ticket holders, this game has been scheduled in place of the cancelled Prince George game that was supposed to take place February 5th. Those tickets will be honoured at the door, as well. as tickets from our other cancelled game vs Cranbrook that was supposed to have been played November 27th.

Tickets are still available. All current P.H.O guidelines will be followed. We’re asking fans to do their part by wearing their masks (unless eating or drinking) and doing their best to maintain distance from other groups.
