Capitals commit to Cornell-bound 19 year old Aidan Cobb

The Cowichan Capitals are excited to announce the commitment of 2002 born import forward Aidan Cobb for the 2021-2022 season. Cobb, who turned 19 back in May joins the Caps after a single season in the North American Hockey League with the Odessa Jackalopes, but prior to moving to junior spent three seasons at Kent School. Last season with Odessa, Cobb scored 3 times and finished with 9 points in 44 games.

“Aidan is a smart, two way, 200 foot player and is reliable in all three zones. He was the captain a couple of years ago at Kent and can be a great leader with us as well. He’s a high energy, puck hungry player that we are excited to have” said Capitals Head Coach & General Manager Brian Passmore.

In 2019-2020 while with Kent School, Cobb was the team Captain as well as the teams leading scorer. He lead the team in assists with 21 and added 9 goals to total 30 points in 26 games. Fellow Capitals 2021 commit Nick Marciano finished 2nd on the team in scoring with 23 points in 26 games on defence. Cobb hails from Ridgefield, Connecticut and after wrapping up his junior hockey career will head to Cornell University to play NCAA Division 1 collegiate hockey.
