It’s a quick turnaround at home for the Cowichan Capitals, who continue this very busy stretch, playing their 18th game of the season Saturday against Wenatchee. The 17 games played is the most in the BCHL, as the Capitals wrap up yet another three game week. It’s also the second night of a back-to-back for both teams, as Cowichan was shutout by Victoria on Friday night 4-0, thanks to 45 saves from Joe Howe, while Wenatchee fell 5-3 in Alberni Valley Friday. Cowichan now has one win in five games since returning to the showcase, but have claimed 4 points, with a pair of overtime losses mixed in, but they still sit atop the Island with a record of 10-5-1-1. Cowichan has done of good job of creating chances lately, firing 92 shots on Victoria goaltenders over the course of the two game set, and look to find their goal scoring touch against a Wenatchee team that is 2-3-1 on the road so far. The Wild are 6-5-1-1 to this point and 5th in the Interior Division, playing in just their 14th game of the year. 
Who’s Hot: Matt Crasa leads the Capitals with 9 goals, while Dan McIntyre and Cole Broadhurst look to each get back into the swing of things after missing significant amounts of time. McIntyre has 5 goals in 8 games played this year. Nick Cafarelli leads the Wild in scoring with 6-6-12 in 12 games played to this point, while former Chilliwack Chief Daniel Chenard has been the workhorse in goal, starting 10 out of 13 games, collecting a 4-5-1 record, although he did have the night off last night, Noah Altman stopped 26/31 against the Bulldogs.
