NCAA Commit: Capitals forward Adam Jeffery commits to RIT!

The Cowichan Capitals are excited to announce that 20 year old forward Adam Jeffery has committed to the Rochester Institute of Technology to play NCAA Division 1 Hockey next season! Jeffery has played in 4 games for the Capitals, but sits tied for the team lead with 6 goals in those 4 games, he’s added a single assist for 7 points in 4 games. Jeffery made his season debut at the showcase, scoring twice in both a 5-4 loss to Cranbrook and a 5-1 win over Merritt. Then after returning home he netted a pair of goals in a 7-5 loss to Alberni Valley.

“I’m thankful for the opportunity to play hockey at the next level. I couldn’t have done it without the support of family, friends, teammates, trainers and the entire Cowichan Capitals organization. I chose to further my education/hockey career at RIT because of the outstanding culture surrounding their school. Both Coach Hills and Coach Wilson are very passionate and experienced people who I look forward to playing under. This is a dream come true” said Jeffery.

Last season Jeffery played for the Alberni Valley Bulldogs in the pod season and finished with 19 points in 20 games. At RIT he will be joining 2018-2020 Capital Dimitri Mikrogiannakis and 2018-19 Capital Doug Scott on the Tigers roster. This season there are 10 former BCHL players on RIT’s Mens Hockey team.

Jeffery now joins defencemen Nick Marciano (Princeton), Owen Simpson (Connecticut) and forwards Eli Pilosof (Brown), Aidan Cobb (Cornell), David Jacobs (Princeton) and Luke Haymes (Dartmouth) as players on the Capitals roster committed to NCAA Division 1 Hockey Programs.
