Capitals send Pollock to Weyburn for future considerations

The Cowichan Capitals have agreed to a trade with the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League’s Weyburn Red Wings, sending 2003 born forward Simon Pollock to the Red Wings in exchange for future considerations. Pollock joined the Capitals for the 2021 Pod Season in Port Alberni, where he played 10 games registering one assist, after playing 10 games with the VIJHL’s Victoria Cougars, scoring 3 times and finishing with 6 points.

“We would like to thank Simon for this time with the Cowichan Capitals. Simon will be able to have more opportunity to produce and contribute with Weyburn Red Wings in the SJHL, he is a terrific kid and wish him the best” said Capitals Head Coach & General Manager Brian Passmore.

The Capitals would like to thank Simon for his one season in a Cowichan uniform and wish him the best with Weyburn.

Capitals training camp opens September 17th, with the opening preseason game taking place September 21st at 2:00PM against the Powell River Kings at the Cowichan Community Centre. Cowichan begins the 2021/22 season at home October 9th against the Alberni Valley Bulldogs.
