Bill’s son gives us a glimpse of his fathers long time commitment to the Capitals.
“Dad was one of those people who loved volunteering and being around the players from year to year. His primary involvement was to operate the visitors penalty box door along side long time volunteers.
He would frequently tell me that it was going to be his last year at the end of each season for doing the penalty box. When training camp rolled around he would be right back at the rink talking to the coaches and perspective players about the upcoming season”.
