PRESEASON GAME DAY – CAPITALS HOST BULLDOGS

Join us tonight at the Cowichan Community Centre as the Capitals play their first home exhibition game of the 2019 preseason against the Alberni Valley Bulldogs. The Capitals beat the Bulldogs 6-4 on Saturday in Alberni Valley behind a hat-trick from veteran centre Dan McIntyre. Cruz Cote also had a pair of goals in the game, including the game winner on the power play half way through the 3rd period. Brendan Rodgers of the Nanaimo Buccaneers have the insurance marker late to seal the deal. Cowichan’s 2nd line of McIntyre centering Zach Brooks (0-3-3)  and Andy Bridgewater (0-2-2) combined for 8 points in the game.

Tonight is the first of two Caps home games this week as Cowichan will also host the Victoria Grizzlies on Friday night before wrapping up the preseason in Sooke against the Grizzlies Saturday at 2PM. Both Wednesday’s and Friday’s games begin at 7:00, with doors opening at 6:00. Tickets for both games are just $5 and can be bought at the Capitals office or at the door.

If you can’t make it to the rink, both home games will be broadcast live on Hockey TV Pay-Per-View and a free audio only stream will be available on Mixlr, with a link posted to all Capitals social media 10 minutes prior to puck drop. Once the regular season starts, you can find every Capitals game broadcast on 89.7 Juice FM on your radio dial and the radio player Canada app, or online at www.mycowichanvalleynow.com
