A victory over the Victoria Grizzlies, combined with back to back Powell River losses was enough to propel the Capitals into the final post season spot.
The first round will see the Capitals matchup against their Island rivals, the Alberni Valley Bulldogs. The Caps will have their work cut out for them, as the Bulldogs enter as the #1 seed in the Coastal Conference. In 9 meetings with the Bulldogs this season, the Capitals went 2-6-1. The Capitals know they have nothing to lose and are hungry to knock off the top ranked team in the conference.
