Duncan, BC – The Cowichan Capitals are pleased to announce the signing of forward Loik Leduc for the 2026-27 BCHL season.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound forward from Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Quebec, joins the Capitals after a standout season with the Niverville Nighthawks of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.
Leduc enjoyed a breakout 2025-26 campaign, finishing with 61 points (26 goals, 35 assists) in 56 regular-season games. He carried that momentum into the playoffs, recording seven points (two goals, five assists) as the Nighthawks rolled to an MJHL championship before capturing the Centennial Cup, Canada’s national Junior A championship, awarded annually by Hockey Canada to the top Junior A team in the country.
“Loik brings size and a competitive nature,” said Capitals Head Coach and General Manager Cam Keith. “He stands at 6-foot-3 and won the Canadian Junior A Championship last season. That’s exactly what we wanted to improve on heading into this year.”
Leduc’s combination of size, skill and championship experience adds another important piece to a Capitals roster that continues to take shape ahead of the 2026-27 BCHL season.
