Duncan, BC – The Cowichan Capitals have announced the signing of goaltender Evan Maillet for the upcoming 2026-27 BCHL season.
The 2006-born netminder joins the Capitals after spending the past two seasons with the Sarnia Sting of the Ontario Hockey League, where he appeared in 41 career games, posting a 10-20-4 record along with an .866 goals against average.
A native of Mississauga, Ontario, Maillet developed through the highly regarded Mississauga Senators AAA program, where he captured back-to-back OHL Cup Championships with the U16 team in 2022 and the U18 team in 2023 before making the jump to the OHL.
The Cowichan Capitals would like to welcome Evan and his family to the organization and look forward to seeing him in Capitals colours this season.
