Duncan, BC – The Cowichan Capitals have announced the signing of 2006-born forward Bryce Bryant for the upcoming season.
A native of Virden, Manitoba, Bryant spent the past three seasons with his hometown Virden Oil Capitals of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL). Over 150 career games with the club, he amassed an impressive 147 points (52 goals, 95 assists), establishing himself as one of the league’s premier offensive talents.
Bryant, 5-foot-11, 172 pounds, is coming off a breakout 2025-26 campaign in which he finished second in MJHL scoring with 81 points (28 goals, 53 assists) in just 54 games. He recorded three separate lengthy point streaks, including one that reached 17 games, was held off the scoresheet just 11 times during the regular season, and earned recognition as an MJHL First All-Star Team selection.
The 19-year-old continued that production into the postseason, co-leading the MJHL playoffs with 19 points (nine goals, 10 assists) despite Virden’s season ending in the league semifinals.
Bryant also brings previous BCHL experience, having appeared in three games with the Cranbrook Bucks at the beginning of the 2024-25 season. During that stint, he recorded one assist and two penalty minutes before returning to Virden.
