Duncan, BC – The Cowichan Capitals have announced the signing of forward Brendan Finley for the 2026-27 BCHL season.
The 17-year-old from Chicago, Illinois, joins the Capitals after a promising rookie campaign with the Wisconsin Windigo of the North American Hockey League (NAHL). The 5-foot-9, 165-pound forward showcased his offensive ability, recording 24 points (14 goals, 10 assists) in 49 games to finish 10th among all U18 skaters in the NAHL.
Before making the jump to junior hockey, Finley developed with the Chicago Mission AAA program, where he was part of back-to-back championship teams. He captured the 2023 HPHL 14U Championship before helping Chicago Mission claim the 2024 USA Hockey Tier I 15U National Championship, building an impressive winning résumé at a young age.
The Cowichan Capitals would like to welcome Brendan and his family to the organization.
