It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Bill Dellebuur. Bill was an integral part of the Capitals Family for the past 25 years as our time keeper. You can view his obituary here.
To honour Bill’s memory, the Cowichan Capitals have decided to start a new tradition and have introduced the “Dellebuur Cup”, a Red & White Intersquad Game which will take place each year at the end of Main Camp.
This year’s Dellebuur Cup will take place on Friday, August 24, 2018. Puck drop will be 7pm and the doors to the Stick will open at 6pm. We are asking a minimum donation of $2 per person. All proceeds will be donated to Bill’s Charity of Choice which will be the “Cowichan District Hospital Foundation”. At the end of the game, Bill’s son Brent Dellebuur will present the winning team with the Dellebuur Cup.
