Duncan, BC – The Cowichan Capitals and the British Columbia Hockey League have officially unveiled the 2026-27 regular season schedule, setting the stage for another exciting season of BCHL hockey in the Cowichan Valley.
The schedule features 26 home games at the Cowichan Community Centre, beginning on Friday, September 18, when the Capitals welcome the Victoria Grizzlies for a 7:00 p.m. puck drop. The following night, Cowichan remains at home to host the Nanaimo Clippers, giving fans an exciting opening weekend against two of the club’s biggest Island rivals.
Following opening weekend, the Capitals head out on an eight-game road trip that includes stops in Chilliwack, Coquitlam, Langley, Prince George, Okotoks, Brooks and Nanaimo before returning home on October 22 to host the Prince George Spruce Kings and begin a five-game homestand.
Throughout the season, fans will also have the opportunity to see Interior Conference opponents visit the Cowichan Community Centre, including the Spruce Grove Saints on November 7 and the Sherwood Park Crusaders on November 21.
The schedule also features four afternoon home games, highlighted by a 2:00 p.m. matchup against Powell River on November 8, a 4:00 p.m. contest against Coquitlam on November 29, a New Year’s weekend meeting with the Alberni Valley Bulldogs on January 3, and the regular season finale against Alberni Valley on March 21 (game time pending league approval).
Cowichan will conclude the regular season with back-to-back home games, hosting the Nanaimo Clippers on March 20 before wrapping up the campaign against the Alberni Valley Bulldogs on March 21.
The Capitals enter the 2026-27 season looking to build on an impressive 2025-26 campaign that saw the club capture the Coastal Conference regular season title with a 38-13-3 record before advancing to the second round of the Rogers BCHL Playoffs.
Season tickets for the 2026-27 season are on sale now, with individual game tickets becoming available closer to Opening Night.
