Capitals This Week

Get Used to hearing this phrase; another important week for the Capitals coming up! With the playoff picture changing on a near daily basis, the Capitals have plenty of work ahead to ensure their spot in the coastal conference playoffs. The Caps currently hold the 8th seed, trailing Coquitlam by 1 point and now leading the Powell River Kings by 2. The Express currently have 2 games in hand over Cowichan, meaning the Caps will need some help if they want to climb into the 7th seed.

Wednesday the team heads to Powell River for a matchup with the Kings. After back to back victories on home ice, the Caps are looking to make it 3 in a row against the Kings. The Caps have struggled on the Sunshine Coast with 1-3 record when visiting the Hap, but are hoping to change that narrative.

Friday the Capitals welcome the Surrey Eagles to the big stick for the second time this season. Surrey has won both matchups so far, with the most recent being a December 4th 6-3 victory in Duncan.

Saturday the Caps play host to the Chilliwack Chiefs for the second time this season. The Caps have played the Chiefs well this season, taking 3 of a possible 4 points. Last meeting saw the Caps leave Chilliwack with a 4-2 victory on December 11th. In the Chiefs lone visit to Duncan this season they were able to escape with a shootout win.

Tickets are still available. Call the Capitals office to get your tickets in advance, or purchase in the box office on game day. We will have an announcement soon about season tickets for the 2022-23 season.
