Duncan, BC – The Cowichan Capitals are pleased to announce the signing of 2007-born forward Kayden Turner for the 2026-27 BCHL season.
The 5-foot-11, 179-pound Winnipeg, Manitoba native joins the Capitals after spending the past two seasons with the Selkirk Steelers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL).
Originally selected second overall in the 2023 MJHL Draft, Turner established himself as one of the Steelers’ top offensive contributors. During the 2025-26 season, he finished third in team scoring, recording 34 points (10 goals, 24 assists) and 54 penalty minutes in 58 games. Prior to making the jump to junior hockey, Turner developed with RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL). During the 2022-23 U16 season, he finished third in league scoring with 54 points (22 goals, 32 assists) in just 33 games, helping lead RINK Hockey Academy to a CSSHL U16 Championship.
Turner becomes the latest addition to the Capitals’ roster as the club continues to build toward the 2026-27 BCHL season.
