Duncan, BC – The Cowichan Capitals are pleased to announce the signing of 2006-born defenceman Luke Bogart for the 2026-27 BCHL season. The 20-year-old right-shot blueliner joins the Capitals after spending the past two seasons with the Steinbach Pistons of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL).
A native of Grand Bend, Ontario, Bogart recorded 50 points (12 goals, 38 assists) and 42 penalty minutes in 105 regular-season games with the Pistons. He also added six points (two goals, four assists) and 17 penalty minutes in 10 playoff games, with all six of his points coming during a six-game second-round series.
Standing 5-foot-10, Bogart brings experience and offensive instincts to the Capitals’ blue line, having appeared in more than 100 junior games before making the move to the BCHL.
Bogart becomes the latest addition to the Capitals’ roster as the club continues to build toward the 2026-27 season. Welcome to Cowichan, Luke!
