Duncan, BC – The Cowichan Capitals are happy to announce the signing of 2007-born forward Kristian Lacelle for the 2026-27 BCHL season.
The 5-foot-9, 179-pound right-shot forward from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, joins the Capitals following the 2025-26 season with the Humboldt Broncos of the SJHL. In his first full season of Junior A hockey, Lacelle appeared in 51 games for Humboldt, recording seven goals and 14 assists for 21 points while adding 60 penalty minutes.
Prior to joining the Broncos, Lacelle gained major junior experience with the Regina Pats of the WHL, appearing in 28 games during the 2024-25 season.
Lacelle developed through the Saskatoon minor hockey system and helped capture both the SAAHL U18 and SMAAAHL championships in 2022-23, while earning a bronze medal at the U18 National Club Championship. He followed that up by helping the Saskatoon Blazers capture another SMAAAHL championship in 2023-24.
Lacelle brings additional junior experience and versatility to the Capitals’ forward group as the club continues preparations for the 2026-27 BCHL season. The Cowichan Capitals would like to welcome Kristian and his family to the organization and look forward to seeing him in Capitals colours this season.
