Capitals send defenceman Jordan Edwards to Blackfalds Bulldogs for futures

The Cowichan Capitals have traded 2002 born defenceman Jordan Edwards to the Blackfalds Bulldogs of the Alberta Junior Hockey League in exchange for future considerations. Edwards suited up for 43 games during the 2021/22 season with the Capitals scoring once and adding six assists for seven points. The Capitals acquired he and his younger Brother Matty at the start of the 2021 season after he played 7 games during last years AJHL shortened season with the Drumheller Dragons.

“Jordan was a great teammate, a dedicated Capital and tough as nails. He represented the Capitals with Pride and integrity. We have to make tough decisions on 20 year olds and we wanted to situate Jordan with a great organization like Blackfalds. We wish Jordan the best in Blackfalds this upcoming year. Thank you Jordan” said Capitals Head Coach and General Manager Brian Passmore.

The Capitals organization would like to thank Jordan for his efforts during the 2021/22 season in Cowichan and wish him the best of luck in Blackfalds.

The Capitals are holding a pair of camps in June, from the 10th-12th at the Summit Centre Arena in Abbotsford and the 17th-19th at the Charlie Purdey Arena in Shawnigan Lake. For more information and to register click hereĀ
