The Cowichan Capitals are excited to announce that graduated forward Jackson Alexeev has committed to Hobart College to continue his hockey career playing for the NCAA Division lll Hobart College Statesmen! Alexeev joined the Capitals for the BCHL pod season after playing for the Toronto Patriots for the previous 3 seasons. In three years in the Ontario Junior Hockey League, Alexeev had 96 points in 132 regular season games, and another 15 points in 29 playoff games. In the pod in Port Alberni Alexeev finished with 3 goals and 9 points in 15 games with the Capitals as one of their three 20 year-old players.
“We are happy to see Jackson join a good program like Hobart. Jackson is a dynamic player and will have success at school. The Capitals would like to congratulate Jackson and wish him the best at school” said Capitals Head Coach & General Manager Brian Passmore.

The 2020/21 Hobart College Statesmen roster included 3 former BCHL players, Mike Faulkner (Merritt Centennials), Chase Bell (Merritt Centennials) and Travis Schneider (Prince George Spruce Kings).
