Capitals commit to import forward Connor Brazil for 2022/23

The Cowichan Capitals are excited to announce the commitment of 2003 born forward Connor Brazil for the 2022/23 season. Brazil, from Las Vegas, Nevada comes to the Capitals out of the Avon Old Farms school in the United States High School Prep League. In the last two seasons for Old Farms in Avon, Connecticut played 24 games, 22 of which were in the 2021/22 season, tallying 8 goals and 18 points, 10th best on the team. Prior to the 2021 season Brazil played with the Gentry Academy U16 team where he notched 16 points in 20 games.

“Connor is a player we have been watching closely over the past 18 months. Connor had a standout performance at our recent Abbotsford camp in June, and we were happy to commit to Connor to play with us this season after seeing him perform so well at that camp. Connor will be looked upon to provide offence, he has a good shot and his skating ability should get him into good spots for scoring. He is a high character kid, determined and has superb school grades. He is dedicated to succeed in all he does” said Capitals Head Coach and General Manager Brian Passmore.

Welcome to the Capitals Connor!

The Capitals are looking to add to our awesome group of billet families for the 2022-23 BCHL season. Billet Families play a pivotal role in the success of our team and our players both on and off the ice. Billeting is a very rewarding experience for our athletes who are away from home, sometimes for the first time. We believe it is very rewarding for the billet families as well. Our players thrive under a positive household in a family setting and many times the relationships made between a player and a billet family will last a lifetime!
