Capitals commit to 2004 born forward Brandon Clarke for 2022/23!

The Cowichan Capitals are excited to announce the commitment of 2004 born forward Brandon Clarke for the 2022/23 season. Clarke, an 18 year old out of Sydney, Nova Scotia comes to the Capitals out of Rothesay Netherwood School, playing on the same team as another future Capital Oliver Salo. Clarke finished second in team scoring behind Salo in U18 league play with 40 points in 35 games including a team high 27 goals. In the 2020/21 COVID-shortened season, Clarke did a lot more distributing after finding his scoring touch a year later, he again finished 2nd on the team in scoring with a team high 11 assists and 15 points in just 14 games.

“Brandon is a fast-paced, tenacious player, extremely hard working in all areas of the ice. He plays with high intensity, quick on the forecheck, battles and creates plays. Brandon will add this element to the Capitals roster for the 2022-23 season” said Capitals Head Coach and General Manager Brian Passmore.

Prior to going to Rothesay, Clarke played a season for the Sydney Rush U18 team in the Nova Scotia U18 Major Hockey League, and a pair of seasons with the Cape Breton Cougars Major Bantam Program. He was also a 4th round pick in the MarWelcome to the Capitals Brandon!
