Duncan, BC – The Cowichan Capitals are excited to announce the schedule for the club’s 2026-27 Training Camp, which officially gets underway on Friday, September 4 at the Cowichan Community Centre. Fans will have their first opportunity to see this year’s Capitals on Friday morning, with Team Red hitting the ice from 7:30–9:00 a.m., followed by Team White from 10:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. The two groups will then meet for a scrimmage from 5:00–6:30 p.m.
All Capitals training camp practices and scrimmages at the Cowichan Community Centre will be open to the public.
The team will hop right into game action the next day for the annual Bill Dellebuur Red vs. White Intersquad Game on Saturday, September 5 at 7:00 p.m. Admission will be by donation, with a minimum of $5, and proceeds will go to the Cowichan District Hospital Foundation.
Following an off-ice training day on Sunday, the Capitals return to the ice on Tuesday, September 8, for a Red/White practice from 1:15–3:15 p.m. before travelling to Port Alberni that evening to open their exhibition schedule against the Alberni Valley Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m.
Cowichan will practice again on Wednesday, September 9, from 1:15–3:15 p.m., before hosting its lone home exhibition game against the Powell River Kings on Thursday, September 10, at 2:00 p.m. Training camp concludes with the Capitals travelling to Nanaimo to face the Clippers on Friday, September 11 at 7:00 p.m.
