19 year old Kevin Walrod of the Westside Warriors has now been named as the second player in the Clinton Pettapiece deadline deal.
Walrod a 6”1”, 175 lb Kelowna native, played in 58 games last season for the Warriors, scoring 22 goals and 36 assists and recording 62 pim’s.
Walrod is a fast skilled forward who will add depth to the offence. Kevin brings energy and a consistent work ethic along with a high degree of skill and speed.
Gellert was the first player the Caps received in the trade deadline deal, Walrod is the second player and the Caps are awaiting the final player as they will be selecting from a list of players left unprotected by the Warriors.
“The Capitals are very excited to add a player of Kevin’s character and ability”, stated Robinson. “Our organizations goal was to have the depth throughout our roster to be champions. Both Kevin and Alex are a part of those plans as will be the third player selected. We welcome Kevin and his family into our organization”.
