Capitals Tate Coughlin commits to Regina University!

The Cowichan Capitals are very happy to announce that 20 year old forward Tate Coughlin has committed to University of Regina’s USPORTS hockey program. Coughlin played just over half a season in Cowichan after being acquired via trade from the AJHL. Coughlin suited up for 33 games with the Caps, scoring at a point per game rate, notching 33 points (10G – 23A) the third most on the team.

Prior to this past season Coughlin spent parts of four seasons with the WHL’s Kelowna Rockets, including a WHL Championship and Memorial Cup appearance back in 2015. Then most recently a pair of seasons in Alberta with the Camrose Kodiaks.

Coughlin joins the Rams for the upcoming season where he will skate alongside Comox Valley product Michael Herringer and former Powell River King’s Captain JJ Coleshaw.
